The Flavor Wheel was created by American Ann C. Noble for wine tasting studies in the 1980s. Today we have flavor (and aroma) wheels for various food items, including specialty teas.
The Escola de CháⓇ Embahú – Tea School makes available to the general public (for personal use) the Special Tea Flavor Wheel proposed by Yuri Hayashi with collaboration of Yvette Arizala, after extensive research on the terms used in the drink and the interpretation within our culture. This material is widely used in the Sensory Tea Training offered by the school, where participants learn to develop their taste for tea.
